Emre Ensari is a professional drummer and educator with over 26 years of experience. He began his musical training at age seven with classical piano, later studying classical guitar before discovering the drums at fourteen—the instrument that became his lifelong focus.

 

He received eight years of private drum instruction from a Jazz and Latin based educator, which shaped his deep connection to jazz music. Emre furthered his studies through the Bahçeşehir University Jazz Studies Certificate Program, completing intensive ensemble work and performing at Nardis Jazz Club in Istanbul.

 

In 2023, Emre Ensari served as a Drum Technician at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, presented by the Coastal Jazz & Blues Society in Vancouver, Canada. During the festival, he was responsible for the complete setup and tuning of drum kits for live performances, supporting soundcheck processes, and coordinating closely with stage and audio teams to ensure optimal performance conditions. His role also included managing backline logistics and contributing to overall stage and venue preparation, providing firsthand experience with the professional standards, precision, and musical sensitivity required at an internationally recognized jazz festival.

 

An active member of the Dave Weckl Online School, Emre cites Dave Weckl as his primary mentor and musical influence. He has extensive band and live performance experience, including jam sessions in California, USA (2013–2014).

 

In 2019, Emre released his debut single album, Jazz Funk Drums, recorded in Istanbul and available on Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music.
